Position Summary:

The Director position is part of the Company’s fast-paced Investment Division. Activities include evaluating equity, fixed income and other investment opportunities; performing sector and company-specific research and analyses; preparing written summaries and recommendations for senior management; producing investment models; analyzing special projects as needed; preparing investment reports; and maintaining in-depth knowledge of economic trends. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze potential investment opportunities and prepare well-researched and well-reasoned analyses
  • Maintain and update investment portfolio reporting systems and financial models
  • Produce investment reports
  • Prepare materials and exhibits for senior management meetings
  • Complete time-sensitive special projects, including ad hoc analyses
  • Maintain positive attitude and collaborate with colleagues

Essential Job Functions:

  • Independently research, analyze and value investment opportunities and provide recommendations
  • Summarize results and present conclusions in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing
  • Regularly monitor developments and news for assigned companies and sectors; communicate relevant information to colleagues and update recommendations if warranted
  • Prepare presentations for senior management meetings
  • Update holdings, run reports and prepare financial analyses
  • Perform general market research & analyses 
  •  Respond quickly to ad hoc requests

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in investment-related field
  • Extremely well-organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, solves problems independently and able to meet firm deadlines
  • Maintain positive attitude and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
  • Protect confidential information and respect compliance procedures at all times
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; VBA programming skills strongly preferred
  • Strong writing, quantitative and communications skills
  • Strong proficiency in investment concepts and terminology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFA Charterholder or CFA Program Candidate
  • MBA or relevant academic background
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Experience using Bloomberg terminal and Excel plug-in
