Position Summary:

Data Science - Temporary Associate (3-6 months)
This individual will participate in the definition of new analytics capabilities, and support our artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. This role will provide business teams with the information and data sets needed to support our technology team in developing solutions which deliver on efficiency and productivity goals. 

Job Duties:

  • Designing and deploying Machine Learning algorithms for enterprise applications such as predictive analytics for solutions such as preventive maintenance, lead scoring, and renewals.
  • Collaborating with data and subject matter experts to seek, understand, validate, interpret, and correctly use new data elements and pilot solutions
  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

  • Lead Scoring
  • Cost of Vacancy
  • Lead-to-Lease Conversion
  • Predict optimal price point for each property
  • Predict impact of reinvestment and revenue
  • Predict willingness of customer to upgrade/downgrade
  • Predict leading indicators for repairs using historical service data
  • Predict cross-channel marketing budget powered by inventory performance and forecast

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Intelligence or equivalent field.
  • Applied Machine Learning experience (regression and classification, supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, decision tree learning, neural networks, etc.).
  • Strong mathematical background (linear algebra, calculus, probability and statistics).
  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Experience working with and creating data architectures.
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
  • Familiarity with implementation skills (Tensorflow, Python, C++, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and G-Suite Applications
  • Experience with Data Analytics (Database or Advanced Sheet Pivot skills)
  • Preferable: experience in working with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and compute capabilities.
  • Note: Expected hours: 20-40 hours/week.
